About Ascension
Don’t expect snowy mountains, sharp cliffs, and complete sense of solitude. The Carpathians of Ukraine are green mountains with lakes, waterfalls and valleys. It’s very popular with tourists as well though mainly locals.
Even if we had glorious weather till the very summit, it suddenly turned into rain with incredible hail. Mountains as they are, so you should definitely have a raincoat. :)
A very patriotic moment
The ascension itself is very easy – can’t be better for the hikers-beginners.
Where to stay after?
Lots of cute villages in this stunning regions – you can stay either in one of the hotels-resorts of Vorokhta or Yaremche, or simply camp. We put our tent in the town of Yaremche, and nobody cared :D We do love Ukraine!
Have you ever hiked in the Carpathians, no matter where? Which summits did you conquer?
