We continue our exploration of Yorkshire coast pearls, so this time we visited two charming towns –Robin Hood’s Bay and Scarborough, which are both worth of traveller’s attention. That’s definitely one of the advantages of living where we live :)

Robin Hood’s Bay

A tiny town, which looks quite a lot like Staithes, but for some reason is more popular with travellers. No illusion though – it has nothing in common with a real Robin Hood. Paved passways, houses as if they came from the fairy-tales, cosy tearooms and amazing beach surrounded by picturesque cliffs – a real joy for photographers. By the way, it’s a departure (or arrival) point of the famous walking trail Coast to Coast.

Scarborough

A famous resort on the Yorkshire coast, Scarborough is known, first of all, for its castle. The castle is indeed spectacular, considering its vast territory and amazing view over the town. But apart from that, Scarborough has very joyful and relaxed atmosphere of a sea-resort. Beach, cafés, alleys, cute harbour – a great place to enjoy your holidays. Generally, the spirit of Scarborough reminded us of the Basque Country (in some twisted manner :)

Where to eat in Scarborough?

Great news! You can have a great seafood meal, which is NOT Fish’n’Chips! Check out the Café Fish – it’s an absolute délice!
