Another October flashback from our beautiful Pyrenees. We lived in Pau when this trip took place and seeing the moubtain chain every single day on the horizon was like a daily treat. Autumn suits them so well. 🍂

The last time we were in Paris was five years ago,

The last time we were in Paris was five years ago, and oh boy, it looks like our big city survival skills have vanished since then.

This city is a human masterpiece, but also a collection of late capitalism’s victories and drastic contrasts between old money and miserable poverty. Paris is like a huge organism that lives by its own rules, and its inhabitants are merely there to serve the beast.

These were four good days, but we’ll be happy to get back to our comfy village (Toulouse, haha). Clearly, we have neither the money, the health, nor the desire for more.

Mountains, golden colors, cheese and peace inside - everything one needs on an October weekend.

We sooo underestimated how ancient Albania is and how many stunning ancient castles / antic cities ruins it has. Going there for three weeks was an excellent choice - otherwise it would have been a rush. (It still was!)

We are very simple people - the town with the biggest bicycle density is automatically our favorite town. In Albania it’s Shkodër. 🚲

Shkoder Lake. Between Albania and Montenegro lies

Shkoder Lake.

Between Albania and Montenegro lies this beautiful lake - the biggest in the Southern Europe. One of many places in Albania we could have easily spent the entire holidays.
I wonder if from Montenegro the view is as hypnotizing...
