April 2019

Wow. Five years ago, Xavier and I went to Tunisia to visit one of his friends. It was an amazing trip full of delicious food and beauty. For me it was also the first visit to African continent, which blew my mind – I was in love with Tunis, Carthage, Tunisian food and a camel named Saf-Saf. Upon getting back to France, started the most miserable part – putting the articles together. Back then, we had some big troubles with choosing the direction for our blogging activity and were going through a serious creative crisis. It can be safely said that the transformations happened to our site take their root from this Tunisian trip. I was horrible – I hated our pictures as they were not like the ones of other cool bloggers. Five years later, I’m very ashamed that Xavier had to endure my hysterics.

So many words just to say that I was thrilled and terrified to open our Tunisian folders and discover the editing process we abandoned five years ago. Mind that we are changed people now! I accepted that we would never have “perfect” pictures on “perfect” blog with “perfect” and entirely updated text. Today for me it’s much more important to get our pictures out there. “Better done than perfect”.

While there is still a complete guide from our trip to be published, I’ll start with something less intimidating – just a collection of the photos that I love, but which won’t be part of any thematic article. Tunisia dump as they call it on Instagram. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did rediscovering them again.

Stay tuned for the final boss article and we’ll finally close this chapter. It shouldn’t take long as it has been written and prepared in the article SINCE 2019, it’s just that this time I actually have to press the “Publish” button.
